As we said before we can't give a real definition about art but we can classify it into types. Types of design are distinguished in terms of senses.

1.Visual static surface design (is presented in 2D, in a flat, curving or polyhedral surface)

  • Strip design (long, narrow as in ribbons, borders. It is extended only in one dimension, lengthwise)

  • Bounded-are design (It is limited in two-dimensional area, it is like a rectangular or circular frame of border. They can be represented in flat or into 3D and are usually arranged like a pattern.)

  • Allover design(It is unbounded in 2D with a tendency to remove repetition in 2D and four directions. It has the tendency to move from one design to another, ignoring the edges. )

2.Visual, static, solid design (is presented in 3D, and the units consist of different solid parts.)

  • Exterior design( the object viewed from the outside.)

  • Interior design (what is viewed from the inside.)

  • Combinations (consist in connection between exterior and interior design, the combination of the outside with the inside.)

  • Intermediate between solid and surface design (sculptural relief, it is solid when it is high and surface when it is low.)

3.Visual, mobile, temporally developed design

  • Mobile surface design( 2D of space, it includes motion pictures, shadow plays and lumia or mobile color, presented as flat images or curving surface.)

  • Mobile solid design(presents solid figures, it is developed into 3D. Not all examples of these arts are highly developed thematically. Their movements are limited in range and their speed is usually indeterminate.)

4. Auditory design ( it is combined with mobile visual design.)

  • Musical design( thematic development: rhythm, pitch, timbre etc., and of developed components such as melody, meter etc.,)

  • Word-sound design (It is presented when the literature is spoken. It also differs in different languages.)

  • Verbal-musical design(It is the combination of musical and word-sound themes and patterns.)

5. Audiovisual design( A type that involves temporal change because of the evanescence.)

  • Audiovisual surface design(The mobile visual patterns combined with music, word-sound or both.)

  • Audiovisual solid design (It is produced by combination of mobile solid patterns with auditory ones.)

6. Types of design based on suggestive thematic development( they are distinguished on bases of presentative development)
